Mansa Musa

Mansa Musa’s rule is known as “the golden age of Mali” because he was an excellent ruler and did many good things for his country. Mansa Musa knew that trade would be good for his country and encouraged it. Mansa Musa helped Mali establish many trade routes. This allowed the an economic boom of sorts which helped Mali enter that “golden age”. Mansa Musa was also very conscious of  his people. He was a very kind and generous ruler who helped all of the people in his country, not just the high ranking ones.Mansa Musa’s rule was also strong because it expanded the borders of the Mali empire. The Mali empire grew to it’s largest expansion under Mansa Musa. All these were factors in calling Mali a golden age under Mansa Musa.
